P2P Expeditions

Splash!

Inspired by Greg Stone’s intrepid diving history, P2PC is a “wet” organization, meaning we are most comfortable and productive in, under and on the water. We conduct expeditions/sojourns with partners, donors and other interested parties forming teams of citizen scientists. The Economist  magazine documented one of our trips

We have several upcoming expeditions scheduled — to Rarotonga in the Cook Islands to study humpback whales and other trips to Bermuda, Christmas Island, and Hawaii. These expeditions achieve scientific results, deepen relationships with donors and form communication products, which enhance our growing media platform.

The Cooks

Join us in Rarotonga, where the Southern Hemisphere humpback whales swim by each year during their winter breeding season after having eaton all summer in Antarctica.   Listen & record the haunting songs of the humpback whales, watch mothers and their newborn calf’s bond, in this, one of the last remote rarely explored parts of their range in the Southern Hemisphere. July-October.

Hawaii

Join our special retreats in Hawaii at a shore front estate with daily exploration of the ocean, culture and land. The special compound where we stay on Oahu provides an intimate setting for informal discussion and creativity focussed on ocean technology, conservation, cultures and innovation. Group is limited and by invitation. If interested, reach out to us and we can discuss.

Bermuda

Come explore the many shipwrecks in Bermuda, all originally discovered by the great Teddy Tucker and shown to Dr. Greg Stone over many years of research and Teddy mentoring him. The shipwrecks tell stories about themselves and the people of the day when they came to grief and also remind us how the oceans have changed dramatically over time from fishing, pollution, and climate change.
